LexiSphere is a word puzzle adventure in development for iOS and Android. The ideas below are proposals, not released features or an active research study. There is no announced launch date for Endless Mode or research participation.
Endless Mode: keep the discovery going
We want to explore a mode that continues beyond a fixed stage list: fresh word arrangements, successive sphere layers, and evolving challenges that give players a reason to look again. The goal is a satisfying rhythm of discovery, with room for both relaxed sessions and ambitious personal goals.
We are considering how difficulty could develop over a session, how players could pause and return, and how to keep repeated play varied. Scoring, rewards, and progression are still being designed. These details may change as we test the experience.
Could everyday play help researchers ask better questions?
We are interested in whether voluntary gameplay data could help qualified researchers study changes in play patterns across adulthood and aging. Possible measurements include puzzle completion time, tracing accuracy, retries, and changes across repeated sessions.
These measurements have many influences, including familiarity with the game, vision, motor control, device performance, and interruptions. A faster solve is not a diagnosis or a direct measure of cognitive health.
Research would need a separate invitation
Before any study begins, we would need qualified research partners, a defined protocol, appropriate ethics review, and clear participant information. We have not announced partners, approved studies, or enrollment. This page does not enroll you or start research data collection.
Our proposed approach is optional participation with a separate consent process that explains exactly what is collected, who can access it, how long it is retained, and how to withdraw. Research participation would be separate from playing the game and from advertising. Those safeguards must be implemented and reviewed before a study launches.
A game, with questions worth exploring
